Managing Meetings

About the course

Meetings are an essential activity in busy organisations. But how often do meetings you organise have no shows or late attendees? Do you arrive at meetings not knowing why you were invited or what the purpose of the meeting is? How many meetings have you attended where there was no reason for you to be there?

In this Managing Meetings course, we show participants how to get value from meeting time.  We address behaviours that cause frustration, providing  a structured approach to planning and running meetings.

Duration: 1/2 Day

This course is for:

  • Anyone who wants to improve their effectiveness in running formal or informal meetings
  • Leaders who want to identify ways to make meetings more productive across their business / organisation.

What will I get from the programme?

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Identify behaviours that detract value from meetings
  • Create solid agendas to ensure the objectives of the meeting are met
  • Use strategies to plan meetings to make them more productive
  • Lead robust discussions during meetings
  • Confidently handle objections from meeting attendees
  • Ensure actions are assigned owners and actions are taken following meetings
